The climactic sequence of the film sees the characters lashed to trees in a clearing, surrounded by a lush, otherworldly wall of vines that has sprung up out of the ground. The 60’ perimeter, 6’ tall wall was constructed ahead of time with a combination of custom vines and faux greenery, decorated on-site with custom flowers and live greenery, and lashed to an existing circle of trees during the two days leading up to shooting. A second variety of custom vines were created to lash actors to the trees comfortably and to create a convincing effect when they are cut.

Bold camping gear flags the characters as entities who don’t belong. Collaboration with Ahmad Daniel Santos, our costumer, to both compliment and contrast his wardrobe with colorful gear.
Our singular interior location was an important space: the room that establishes our main character’s rich personality, which motivates the action of the film. I sourced and styled layers of art, treasures and keepsakes, including family photos from our actor, to convey deep emotion.
